Every Tuesday I post a writing prompt and my response. It gives me a chance to exercise my writing muscles outside of my WIP, and hopefully inspire you to write. So enjoy my flash fiction piece and post your own in the comments!

Miss Properly Correct Advice Column
Dear Miss Properly,
My archenemy is continually thwarting my plans. No matter how hard I try to stay one step ahead of him - he always manages to succeed in stopping me from attaining my goals. It started out being amusing to challenge my archenemy in new and creative ways. Then it was slightly annoying. Now it is down right unacceptable. What should I do?
Sincerely,
Fed Up in Fiendland
Dear Fed Up,
The best option would be to stop trying to defeat your archenemy and try and be his friend. Take the time to find out more about this person. What are their interests, their likes and dislikes. May an effort to include your archenemy in your activities. As you draw closer together as friends you will find that he will stop trying to thwart your plans and accept you as a unique individual.
Then set a trap for him and be ride of him once and for all!
Sincerely,
Miss Properly
I love it! Set him up by being a friend with him and then just trap him so you can be done. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteI like this, Krista! I love doing writing prompts and exercises. I post writing prompts on my blog every Wednesday (though I'm not tomorrow because of Talli Roland's book launch for Watching Willow Watts!). I'll have to try this prompt now!
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a good week! :)
You are too funny! And the advice is so true :)
ReplyDelete:) Glad you all liked it. For a while this one stumped me. But once I thought of the advice column approach it just flowed.
